Florida Forever Funding is in Peril!!

Florida Forever, the state’s premier public lands acquisition program, needs your support now!!!
The House Environment and Natural Resources Council moved to strike funding for this critical land conservation program, citing a budget shortfall that places many critical services at risk.
Our response to House Speaker Marco Rubio and to Policy and Budget Council Chairman Ray Sansom, as well as all members of the Florida Legislature is: Florida Forever, and the public lands it secures provides economic, health, and educational benefits that go right to the heart of what it is to be a Floridian.
Speaker Rubio, has often stated the need to invest in Florida in order to reap economic returns. Florida Forever is an investment we cannot afford to overlook.
Contact Speaker Rubio and Chairman Sansom TODAY. Tell them how important it is to continue Florida’s investment in public lands. Ask them to reinstate the $300 million funding for Florida Forever and $200 million for Everglades restoration projects. Tell them we can and should support land acquisition while lands are available and it is a buyers’ market. Because, once it is gone, it is gone FOREVER.
